In Belo Horizonte and Contagem, the street blocks of Carnival Minas Gerais performed a series of political activities in support of the Palestinian people during the period of the big national party. On Saturday, a huge Palestinian flag, dozens of meters, was raised by activists from the top of a viaduct, late in the morning, amid the most popular parade of the capital, the "then shines". The image of this flag printed the headlines of the main vehicles of the Minas Gerais press monopoly.
In several other blocks, flags and Palestinian banners were erected. Tracks against the Genocide of the Palestinian people were also extended by the revelers. Type activities were recorded in blocks like the then plant, calls the liquidator and circulado. The first manifesto of the campaign was signed by 23 blocks.
Belorizontino Carnival is named one of the largest folks in the country and is estimated that this year more than 5 million revelers gather. According to the Minas Gerais Solidarity Committee to the Palestinian people, in publication for their social networks: “The presence of the Palestinian flag and oral interventions during the parades has been very well received by the public!” and even that "Many curious people ask what is actually happening in Palestine ... They ask stickers, ask how they can help."
The committee continues to promote activities requiring the end of genocide, immediate ceasefire and the end of the Zionist occupation. Every day, in 7 de Setembro Square, in the hypercenter of the capital, the Minas Gerais Committee collects signatures demanding the breakdown of Brazilian state relations with “Israel”, distributes leaflets and conversation with the population.
