The war against the Palestinian population has now lasted almost five months. The Gaza Strip is largely destroyed, between 50 and 60 percent of all buildings are ruined. Since October 7, 2023, the 30,000 people have been murdered and over 70,000 people were injured.
Continue to the pretext of the "fight against Hamas", the Israeli government is expanding its offensive and is now planning to start the attacks on Rafah. Rafah is located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. More than half of the residents of the Gaza Strip have fled to Rafah to look for protection against war. With this planned attack, the prevailing Israel again show that it is about a war against the Palestinian people and their resistance movement.
The fact that the war is very well led against the Palestinian people can also be seen from the fact that the auxiliary deliveries are currently impossible. According to the UN, aid deliveries have almost come to a standstill in the past two weeks. The northern part of Gazas can currently no longer be reached by land. Aid goods from Great Britain had to be thrown out of the air for the first time. The World Food Program (WPF) was only able to record deliveries last Sunday (!) For the first time in three weeks (!). The extent of the humanitarian disaster is enormous. Diseases, water shortages and famine are the result of Israeli warfare and occupation policy.
In order to further secure control over the Gaza Strip, Israel is now expanding a “West-East corridor”. This wants to maintain the "security control" in Gaza. This "security control" means further oppression for the Palestinian people, another attack on the Palestinians' right to self -determination!
The solidarity activities for the immediate stop of the Israeli war against the Palestinians continue to adhere. On Sunday, March 3, 2024, the Palestinasolidarity Linz organizes a large march, which will start in the Volksgarten Linz under the demand "Freedom for the Palestinians!".
All solidarity will continue to be called up in the activities to demand the immediate stop of the war against the Palestinian people, to defend compliance with the neutrality of Austria, as well as the national liberation struggle of the Palestinians!
