Netherlands | 10.03.2024 | On the occasion of 8 March International Working Women's Day, the Alevi Association organized an event Beverwijk/HeemsKerk (Netherlands). In addition to the seminar titled History of March 8 and the Women's Struggle today, Behakder Music Group took part in the event with the folk songs.

The March 8 event began with a minute of silence for women who lost their lives in the fight against Clara Zetkin to Alexandra Kollantai, Rosa Luxemburg, and Barbara Anna Kists from Meral Yakar.

Zeynep Çalışkan, the new female representative who participated in the event as a speaker, made a presentation about the demands of women's struggle and what it means today, referring to the struggles, strikes and resistances of workers in the process until the declaration of March 8 as International Working Women's Day. In his speech, Çalışkan emphasized the rising racism and war scenarios of imperialists in Europe and drew attention with various data and examples that this situation increased pressure, violence and exploitation against women. Speech ended with a call for organization.

The music group, which carries out its works within Behakder, drew a good music feast for the participants.
