Successful mobilization day for March 8

On March 8 in the city of Medellín from the Park of Lights, women concentrated from two in the afternoon, several of them working women, young people, teachers, students who were cited to undertake the mobilization of International Women's Day Workers, peasant and popular.

This act of commemoration filled the women of the town with politics and encouragement who concentrated there. They applauded and shouted Break the chains, trigger the fury of the woman, as a powerful force for the revolution! The mobilization begins taking San Juan Avenue, taking the street, demanding justice for femicides, violations and sexual oppression to which they submit to half of the working people.

In this first part of the mobilization, slogans were shouted against patriarchy and double exploitation. The mobilization route passed through important places, where complaints were made. The women of the town with their fury, boycotted the Metroplús, unworthy transport system, where several sexual harassments have occurred. Eastern Police Station, the repressive character towards the people was denounced, and towards the particular woman, reaffirming with their slogans The tomba does not take care of me, my friends take care of me . Despising the role of the armed arm of the State, denouncing how they have violated and killed the women of the town. You could also see, as a group of these women, they went through the D1 stores, banks, the big monopolies, writing up the oppressed, below the oppressors! In addition, several women hit posters, against imperialism and the heroic struggle of the Palestinian people.

As soon as the prosecution came, popular women with their fury shouted justice! They stirred the posters against the prosecutor's fence, moved from steel and removed an advertising fence from the place, there they concentrated demanding justice, and they were available to a tribute proposed by the popular female movement, in this, the names of the Women victims of femicide, while a partner gave a few words against the state of landowners and great bourgeois, who oppress the women of the people, through submission and fear, and who encourage the ideology of the dominant classes, machismo. They denounced how bourgeois women did not have the same conditions as the women of the people, and how that sexual oppression that the women of the people live, serves the bourgeois for that double exploitation, subjecting half of the people to work in bad conditions, supporting under the " Deficit nature ”, Domestic work as a woman's task, when this work allows the maintenance of labor for employers. Finally, a call was made to the organization of women of the town, to be that female ferment that transforms the society of misery and pain, all those cases of the women of the people, can only have justice in a society that is at the service of the women and men of the people.

After the tribute, companions approached the microphone, to tell how sexual oppression had lived, as from girls, this society with decadent ideas oppresses them, reducing their role to sexual objects. Each of them told how he has suffered in this society for machismo, in the midst of tears and pain, they reaffirmed the path that popular women have in this society, that path is the popular struggle, which guarantees that women can reach their rights , and advancing in the struggle towards the revolution, where a new society can be achieved, a society where there is justice and women have a role in social production and in the construction of a society at the service of the people.
